Sacred concertos and sonatas of the Bach family, but also largely unknown works by Johann Rosenm\u00fcller, Nicolaus Adam Strungk, Augustin Pfleger, Georg Christoph Strattner and others were on our programme at the Bach Weeks in Thun, Switzerland.
With the soprano Miriam Feuersinger<\/a>, and of course with all the other musicians of the extended ensemble Les Escapades in the Romanesque Church Amsoldingen<\/a> making music was a real pleasure.

On 5 July at 11.25 a.m. we successfully completed our New Start project by uploading the proof of use, whoopee!
There is also nice news about our CD release<\/a>:
Already for September, the distribution Grade1<\/a> the release (V\u00d6) is scheduled. That is earlier than expected!
In the run-up to the release, there will also be two \"singles\" as so-called \"teasers\".

May 2023<\/strong>
In a remarkable performance in the Maulbronn monastery church on 13\/14 May, Les Escapades were involved together with more than 100 performers.
In the oratorio \"die Weltharmonik\" the composer set Karsten Gundermann<\/a> the work \"harmonices mundi\" by the Maulbronn monastery pupil Johannes Kepler (1571-1630) into multi-layered sounds and images. With the choir of the Maulbronn Protestant Seminary, with vocal soloists Sophie Sauter and Marcus Ullmann, as well as a sound-colourful orchestra, Karsten Gundermann succeeded in an impressive transformation of Kepler's cosmic-mathematical discoveries. Two magnificent performances under the direction of Sebastian Eberhardt<\/a> in the packed monastery church will remain an impressive memory.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

March 2023<\/strong>
With the pop and jazz singer Sandie Wollasch<\/a> On 24 March we were in the legendary \"Kangaroo Studios\"<\/a>where we accompanied a song from her new project \"women's choice\": With a wonderfully viola da gamba-compatible arrangement of Klaus Wagenleiter<\/a> (5th from left) and patiently directed by the drummer and recording director Guido J\u00f6ris<\/a> (2nd from left). Afterwards there was champagne for everyone and a delicious lunch. Being together with these experienced musicians from a completely different field of music was just great!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

October 2022<\/strong>
As cultural ambassadors, Les Escapades visited four German cities over two weekends in October. Here we walk through the streets of Templin in the Uckermark. From there, and from our travels to Th\u00c3\u00bcringen, Lower Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate, we returned with colourful impressions, which we have collected for you in a Gallery<\/a> have summarised.
With the actors Sebastian Kreutz<\/a> (Templin, Panitzsch) and Sebastian Mirow<\/a> (Nikolausberg, Hornbach Monastery) we were not only able to travel wonderfully through the musical-poetic concert nights, but also to cover the approximately 2,500 km with pleasure in our Stadtmobil bus.
It was a great stroke of luck that we had hired a chauffeur, backstage organiser, advisor, networker, photographer and stagehand to keep our fingers, hands and arms free for the viola da gamba music: Eberhard Pfeifer, 2nd chairman of the association, fulfilled these tasks in personal union. \u00e2Friends of viol music\u00e2<\/a>. A mega big thank you!!!

22 July 2022<\/strong>
\u00e2Dreams & Visions\u00e2 in Trier \u00e2 what a beautiful atmosphere in the illuminated church of St. Gangolf at a very late hour!
Debussy, Faur\u00c3\u00a9, Haydn \u00e2 something completely different for viola da gamba consort! Complemented with texts by Shakespeare, Brecht and a few more, sensitively recited by speaker Arnd Gothe, this concert met with an enthusiastic response from the audience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

17 July 2022<\/strong>
The \u00e2Tears of the Muses\u00e2 were announced at the Karmeliterkloster in Frankfurt, where we were on the road with our colleague Laura Frey from Kassel. With us and our very nice, interested audience, the body's own juices did not come out of the eyes, but rather out of other pores\u00e2\u00a6 in tropical temperatures.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2 July 2022
<\/strong>In the Baroque Hall of Walderbach Monastery<\/a> in the Upper Palatinate we played Flores espa\u00f1olas<\/a>,<\/strong> Spanish music for viol consort and baroque guitar. With the second concert in this established series after a two-year break, we were able to treat a select audience to exciting harmonies and rapid diminutions. This Spanish cosmos was wonderfully complemented with typically Spanish-fiery espa\u00c3\u00b1oletas, mari\u00c3\u00a7apolas, jacaras by the Catalan guitarist Maria Ferr\u00c3\u00a9.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>We opened the annual general meeting of our association \u00e2Freunde der Gambenmusik e.V.\u00e2 with a small concert.
Thanks to all the members who came and also gave their consent to post this photo.
The evening ended with wine and sandwiches in the monastery garden of St. Francis.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

At 27 June<\/strong> we were guests in a small, fine concert series in the Kirchl\/Obertsrot and on the 7 July<\/strong> our chauffeur drove four lively escapadors to Bonn in the Stadtmobil bus, where we had a Spanish tour with Stefan Horz (organ) in the crypt of the Kreuzkirche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now it is about time that we announce another piece of good news:
The application for a scholarship to the \u00e2Neustart Kultur\u00e2 programme of the German Music Council<\/a> was successful!
Our colleague Sabine Kreutzberger had a great idea for a new programme, which is now being diligently built.
Hopefully we can present it soon\u00e2\u00a6<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>Our concert stream was online from 5 to 16 May. With no less than 544 hits. For an ensemble that does not consist of full-time inluencers, this is a very pleasing result, as are many enthusiastic emails. Thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

15 April 2021
<\/strong>In the face of dramatically rising incidence rates, our hopes for a live concert in the near future have finally been dashed these days.
\"Catchy Tunes of Europe\" should be something like a first ray of hope in times of pandemic within the framework of the European Culture Days Karlsruhe.
Pity.
But we are making the best of it by now moving this concert to the internet. You can join us on our YouTube channel<\/a> on 5 May at 19:00 and at 20:30. The link to the stream will be activated soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

16 March 2021<\/strong>
Totally overwhelmed by the many orders for the Strattner CD and the enthusiastic feedback about this music, almost all the contributors, together with our equally enthusiastic producer from Note1, Joachim Berenbold, met today for the digital CD christening. The official launch will take place on 7 May and we are already looking forward to the reactions of the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 March 2021
<\/strong>On Tuesday, 16 March at 8.00 pm, Les Escapades will take part in a concert that will be accompanied by the insistent plea \"Grant us peace\"<\/strong> commemorates the victims of the air raid on the city of W\u00fcrzburg in the last days of the war on 16 March 1945. Under the direction of KMD Christian Heidecker, you can hear music by Matthias Weckmann and Heinrich Sch\u00fctz from the church of St. Stephan.
Unfortunately, attendance is not possible, but you can attend the concert in the Livestream of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation<\/a><\/strong> directly from St. Stephen's or afterwards in the Media library<\/a> experience. It is with great pleasure that we announce that our Strattner project has been successfully completed!
Our top-class ensemble with Miriam Feuersinger and Monika Mauch, soprano; Alexander Schneider, alto; Daniel Schreiber, tenor;
Markus Flaig, bass; Cosimo Stawiarski and Christoph Riedo, violin; Simon Linn\u00e9, theorbo; Evelyn Laib, organ and the viola da gamba consort Les Escapades was also heard in a concert in the Stadtkirche Durlach before the CD recording.
\"Expressive, human and direct\" describes Christine Gehringer in the Pamina Magazine<\/a> this musical discovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are proud and happy that we were able to turn to this precious music with courage and confidence in these very special times.

The gradual easing gives us hope that in September we will be able to hold our big Strattner project<\/a>  with concert and CD world premiere recording.
Our management is currently busy with the final project planning. We are being strongly supported by the musicologist and artistic director Cosimo Stawiarski<\/a>, the Protestant Adult Education Karlsruhe<\/a>the Baden State Library (SU<\/a>), the Protestant City Church of Durlach, our sponsoring association Friends of viol music e.V.<\/a>  and some sponsors.
Unfortunately, many companies that were \u00e2intended\u00e2 have withdrawn their funding due to the Corona crisis.
We therefore hope that more committed supporters will follow our call for donations in the remaining weeks. A donation receipt will be issued.

With the 15-year-old boy soprano Julian Finckh we gave a \u00e2spontaneous concert\u00e2 in the Friedenskirche in Karlsruhe. With English consort songs and vocal music by Dietrich Buxtehude and Christian Geist, the two-time national prize winner of the \u00e2Jugend Musiziert\u00e2 competition captivated the numerous, very attentive listeners. Let us hope that this exceptional voice will last until 21 January. Then, with the help of the SWR and the Karlsruhe H\u00c3\u00a4ndel Society, it will be documented in a recording.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u00e2Music permeated by light\u00e2 was the title of our concert in the press (BNN) as part of the 50th International Heinrich Sch\u00c3\u00bctz Festival, which this year was hosted by our city of Karlsruhe. Together with the choirs of the Christuskirche and the KIT under Peter Gortner and Nikolaus Indlekofer, the violinists Steffen Hamm and Gundula Jaene, the organist Stefan Fritz, trombones from Stuttgart and the tine player Arno Paduch, we dedicated ourselves to various settings of the 116th Psalm.
\u00e2Existential gratitude for this beautiful music\u00e2 \u00e2 not only from the audience, but also from us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of September we were guests in Neustadt an der Weinstra\u00c3e with Miriam Feuersinger and our extended ensemble.
The from Simon Reichert<\/strong> initiated Early Music Festival \u00e2Neustadter Herbst\u00e2<\/strong> gathered international stars of the early music scene. And not only that: each concert was accompanied by a wine patron. Winegrowers from Neustadt provided the numerous listeners with their best wines. A great concept!

After wonderful concerts in Bregenz and Muri\/CH at the beginning of June, our Night concert<\/strong> in Karlsruhe a very special experience. With Daniel Kaiser<\/strong> The atmosphere at the Rohlf organ in the Johanniskirche was very Spanish: the flair of the warm summer evening lent a very special mood to this late hour. The positive response of the numerous listeners, for most of whom our instrument was a new discovery, was a great pleasure for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Frankfurt<\/strong> We were invited by the Allegra Agency on 7 July. With our Catalan guitarist Maria Ferr\u00c3\u00a9<\/strong> we played the Flores espa\u00c3\u00b1olas in the Spanish tempered and sold out to the last seat cloister of the Carmelite monastery.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We were thrilled by the art projects in this wonderful church.
In the liturgy, Dr Ulrich Schindler combined our music with the joyful message of the Gospel in the best possible way.
The fr\u00c3\u00a4nkische Landeszeitung praised the \u00e2sensitive and expressive performance\u00e2.
