Franziska Finckh studied viola da gamba with Pere Ros at the Staatliche Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in Karlsruhe and graduated with distinction. In Basel she continued her studies with Paolo Pandolfo (viola da gamba) and Christophe Coin (baroque cello) and obtained the soloist diploma of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in 2000. Franziska Finckh has won several competitions, including the sponsorship prize at the BDI Cultural Circle in 1999 and the scholarship for music from the Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg Art Foundation in 2003. As a gambist and cellist, she plays in numerous ensembles, including Les Escapades, Trio Voccord, Gli Scarlattisti, Karlsruhe Baroque Orchestra, Concerto Vocale, H\u00e4ndelsolisten Karlsruhe, Saarl\u00e4ndisches Staatstheater and Staatstheater Stuttgart. She has worked with musicians such as Attilio Cremonesi, Jordi Savall, Ren\u00e9 Jacobs, Helmuth Rilling, Konrad Jungh\u00e4nel and Christian Curnyn. Concert tours have taken her throughout Europe, to the USA and Russia. Franziska Finckh has a viol class at the Conservatoire de Musique in Strasbourg and regularly gives courses for viol consort.
