Sabine Kreutzberger

Sabine Kreutzberger studied viola da gamba with Pere Ros at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe and with Wieland Kuijken in The Hague. Further impulses came from lessons and courses for viola da gamba and viella (medieval fiddle) with Ariane Maurette, José Vasquez and Kees Boeke.
She performs in a variety of ensembles such as Ecco la musica (music of the 17th century), Music for a while, RicciCapricci and the Ensemble Almara (music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance).
She specialised in solo and chamber music from the Middle Ages to the early Classical period and teaches this in ensemble courses. Her musical work also includes contemporary works and crossover projects.
Sabine Kreutzberger teaches at the Musikwerkstatt Baden-Baden and as a lecturer for viola da gamba continuo playing at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe.
With Est! Ensemble for Music of the Late Middle Ages, the ensembles Les Escapades and RicciCapricci, and in collaboration with SWR, she has participated in numerous radio recordings, CD recordings and live performances on Radio France, SWR, BR and Südwest-Fernsehen.

Franziska Finckh

Franziska Finckh

Franziska Finckh studied viola da gamba with Pere Ros at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe and graduated with distinction. In Basel she continued her studies with Paolo Pandolfo (viola da gamba) and Christophe Coin (baroque cello) and obtained the soloist diploma of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in 2000. Franziska Finckh has won several competitions, including the sponsorship prize at the BDI Cultural Circle in 1999 and the scholarship for music from the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation in 2003. As a gambist and cellist, she plays in numerous ensembles, including Les Escapades, Trio Voccord, Gli Scarlattisti, Karlsruhe Baroque Orchestra, Concerto Vocale, Händelsolisten Karlsruhe, Saarländisches Staatstheater and Staatstheater Stuttgart. She has worked with musicians such as Attilio Cremonesi, Jordi Savall, René Jacobs, Helmuth Rilling, Konrad Junghänel and Christian Curnyn. Concert tours have taken her throughout Europe, to the USA and Russia. Franziska Finckh has a viol class at the Conservatoire de Musique in Strasbourg and regularly gives courses for viol consort. CDs have appeared on the Carus-Verlag, Salto Records, Chrismon, Organum Classics and Christophorus labels, among others.

Adina Scheyhing

Adina Scheyhing

Adina Scheyhing studied viola da gamba with Pere Ros at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe, where she graduated in 1990. This was followed by postgraduate studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Wieland Kuijken.
As an accomplished continuo player and soloist, she has performed at numerous festivals, e.g. the "Rheingau Festival", the "Kassel Music Days" and the "Utrecht Festival". She has performed in almost all European countries with "The Duke his Viols" (Gamba Consort), "His Majesties Musicke" (London), "The Beggar's Banquet" (Amsterdam), "Musica Poetica" (Freiburg) and as a violone player in various baroque orchestras. She has participated in numerous radio and CD recordings.
In 2009 she completed a 4-year Feldenkrais training (Munich City-Training with P. Newton) and has since then also worked as a Feldenkrais teacher. (http://www.feldenkraiskarlsruhe.de/)

Barbara Pfeifer

Barbara Pfeifer realised her dream of playing the viola da gamba after completing her studies at the Cologne-Wuppertal Academy of Music (recorder, music education) with the support of Prof. Heiner Spicker. She received valuable musical inspiration in her lessons with Ekkehard Weber and through master classes with Wieland Kuijken. A two-year study of the viola da gamba with Prof. Philippe Pierlot at the Musikhochschule Trossingen complemented her education.
Her activities include music education as a teacher as well as numerous engagements as a continuo player and as a gambist in various ensembles.
In 2010 she was involved in the crossover sound world projects of harpist Rüdiger Oppermann (Global Strings Tour 2012).
Barbara Pfeifer is a founding member and ensemble member of the viola da gamba consort Les Escapades. As an organiser and networker, she coordinates the ensemble's public relations, concert acquisition and concert activities.
